Last Thursday, Influenza A decided to pay me a visit. I thought it was just one of those small irritating sore throats that show up, bother you for a bit, then leave quietly. Instead, it turned into a full-on fever with shivers, body aches, and the kind of tiredness that makes you question all your life choices. Walking from the bed to the toilet felt like an Olympic event.
It reminded me of those days back in the old Web of Fudge era when I used to blog about everything from school stress to random colds. The difference is that this flu was not random at all. It was determined. It stole my appetite, my energy, and even my voice. I spent most of the time sleeping, sweating, freezing, and trying to remember if I had taken my last dose of Panadol.

The worst part was how everything around me kept moving while I stayed stuck in bed. Emails kept coming in. Messages kept buzzing. Life kept going. I just watched it all from under a blanket. It felt strange, almost like the universe pressed pause on me alone.
Now that the fever is gone and I am finally starting to feel human again, I am grateful for simple things like being able to sit up without feeling dizzy. Influenza A was definitely not fun, but it did remind me of something important. Sometimes the body needs rest, and if you ignore it, it will force you to stop.
So here I am, back online, recovering, and hoping this is the last time Influenza A makes a cameo on The Web of Fudge.
